Shock Cord Multipack
Lightweight, and with countless uses, I pack various lengths of shock cord like this for all sorts of applications when touring. Long ones go around my sleeping pad or other rolled gear to keep it from unrolling, medium ones keep my cook kit together, and small ones are doubled over to do things like hang my dangle mug. Pick up a pack of these and you’ll find something to do with them, they are incredibly simple and useful. Fold them all over and use the small 8” loop to hold them together, and stash them in your tool kit, when things go wrong you might be glad to have some spare cinchable cord.
